First, thanks to all of the Mamas who supported the Love Without Boundaries auction, and welcome to all the new Mamas that have found Adoption Mama through the auction. The money raised goes directly to fund heart surgeries.

If you are thinking of ordering for Mother's Day...it is not too late! Most packages in the US take 2-3 days to arrive. Unless too late in the day, I am generally shipping your order the same day I receive it.

Know a Vietnam Mama? Our Vietnam tees are on sale....just because I am so bummed for those Mamas that their program will soon close. I hope everyone can still get their children home ASAP.

Hello! Just a quick update to let you know that through your purchases we made our March contribution to Love Without Boundaries, this month choosing the Physical Therapy programs for our donation.

Here is a little about the program from the LWB site:

Physical Therapy (PT) Projects are currently in place in several orphanages. We attempt to identify children as early as possible who can benefit from PT services. Physical therapy helps many children to meet developmental milestones and hopefully be placed on waiting children adoption lists in order to receive families of their own.

New Adoption Blog- NBC Reporter

Hello!

Wanted to let you know about a new blog. It is called "Paper Pregnant", and you can find it here. It will follow the adoption journey of Cat Greenleaf, a reporter from NBC affiliate in New York. Cat contacted me a while ago after she had found our website. She is starting a domestic adoption. You might have also seen her on the Travel Channel or other hosting gigs. As she graciously states in her first post, the name of her blog comes from the Adoption Mama site, where she first saw the term Paper Pregnant. I wish her all of the best with the adoption, and I commend her bravery for chronicling her journey in such a public way.

You can also find a new mention of Adoption Mama on a great mom-themed blog called Mama Speaks. They review many tremendous products, so you might want to bookmark that one!

We have been positively reviewed by Super Cool Baby, an independent reviewing site looking for the freshest, most fun, and best products for kids and moms. Some reviewing sites will review anything as long as you pay them, but Super Cool Baby has conducted a totally independent review...we didn't even know about it!

Also, you can see us in the March issue of Adoptive Families magazine!

On other notes...I have left some of our long-sleeve designs on sale, so get 'em while they're hot. There is ONLY 1 of our Special Limited Edition Rhinestone "Lucky Mommy" tees available. Our Latest Love Without Boundaries Contribution

Hello Mamas! Just sending out the latest update on our monthly Love Without Boundaries contribution...that you helped make possible! This month we donated in two ways.

First, we donated through the Facebook Giving Challenge. The cause receiving the most individual donors (for only $10 or more) between now and February 1 wins $50,000 for their cause. LWB has been in the lead for the overall prize, but as of today is in second, by almost 100 donors. Please...if you are looking for a worthy cause... help LWB win $50,000 to help heal the hearts of China's orphans. You can find all the details on the LWB home page.

Second, we donated the remainder of the monthly contribution to a new program LWB has started: the Anhui Cleft Healing Home, for children recovering from cleft lip or palate repair surgeries. You can also find info on this program on the LWB site.

LWB can use this money to purchase formula and rice cereal for orphanages throughout China. It also helps meet the specific nutritional needs of children who are pre- or post-surgery. We are helping to fill their bellies too!

Wow, time for an update!

The trip to China was wonderful...awesome...very meaningful. My blog from China is still up if you would like to read it. I miss those orphanage babies so much...and for all of you that are waiting on referrals- I wish I could have just scooped them all up and brought them home!

August has been rolling by! We are still in the thick of summer, but I am also thinking about fall ahead. I will be adding a couple new designs to the store soon!

Off to China!/ Get your orders in!!

Just wanted to let you know.... I am going to be traveling to China (by myself!) July 5-20 to some volunteer work in an orphanage. I am very excited for the opportunity to impact the lives of these children in some small way.

For Adoption Mama ordering, I would say you need to have your orders in by July 2 if you would like them shipped before I depart (remember July 4 is a postal holiday.) All orders received after July 3 will most likely ship beginning July 22. I am sorry for this delay to you.... I love shipping same or next day and getting you your new shirts ASAP! But, this is a special exception. Remember every purchase you make helps orphaned children in China through Love Without Boundaries. Although I will be with a different group for my trip, I am still so honored and thrilled to help out in any way.

As the time comes closer, I will post a link to my travel blog, that I will hopefully be able to update regularly from China.

I Met Anchee Min!

I am so happy to say I got to meet Anchee Min last Thursday night! She is the author of many WONDEFUL books about women in China (historical fiction...just remarkable experiences...amazing!). For me, it was the equivalent of a teenager meeting some "it" tabloid celebrity or music star of the moment. I couldn't believe I was actually there, listening to her read her book to me (OK, well not just me, but it felt like it!). She was in Washington, D. C. on a tour for her newest book "The Last Empress", a sequel to "Empress Orchid" (my favorite book ever). I started reading her books to learn more about the role and condition of women throughout Chinese history. I have been so moved by them. These two books about the Empress TzuHsi have greatly inspired my trip back to China this summer. I can't wait to be back at the Forbidden City and Summer Palace with these "new eyes". I will be forever grateful to Anchee Min for her writing, her strength, and her truth. I am so glad my daughter got to go with me and have her picture taken with Ms. Min. "Empress Orchid" is dedicated to the adopted daughters from China. When I asked Ms. Min why, she said because they are the strength and power, but were for so long considered nothing. She seems to have a heart for our girls. What a happy night for me!

Hello Mamas! The new designs are here...well most of them! I still have a few surprises to come. Check out the site to some fun new designs. We have added a new fitted style shirt that is available up to size 3X- yeah! There is also a great new Waiting Mama shirt, and my fave- the Marinate in Motherhood shirt. Let the Vietnam and Guatemala Mamas know we have added shirts for them as well.

Hello Mamas! And Daddies! Thanks for making December extra fun. Some of you will be getting Adoption Mama goodies under your tree! Ssshhhh...I can't tell!

As 2006 comes to an end, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the new ADOPTION MAMAs out there who have made our first year such a success. The best part for me, for sure, has been "meeting" all of you and hearing your adoption stories. There are a lot of great families out there. Please continue to send me your news, updates, and feedback.

Watch out for lots of fun in 2007. We'll have some new designs, including some mother/daughter fun...I promise! Maybe a sale too...

I will be on vacation with my family from Dec 26- Jan 1, so all new orders will ship Jan 2. I should have access to email however, so feel free to write and order during the break.
