The new fall designs are starting to arrive and should be on the site within days! There are new designs for Vietnam Mamas, Mamas adopting from South Korea, and our Mom Style designs. Yeah! I have always wanted to represent every country...we are getting there!

Fall is in the air!!

The new shirts are coming! The new shirts are coming!

I love this time of year when I get to introduce some new designs to you! Keep watching the site over the next couple weeks to see at least 5 new designs! Yipee!

August Update!

Wow, time for an update!

The trip to China was wonderful...awesome...very meaningful. My blog from China is still up if you would like to read it. I miss those orphanage babies so much...and for all of you that are waiting on referrals- I wish I could have just scooped them all up and brought them home!

August has been rolling by! We are still in the thick of summer, but I am also thinking about fall ahead. I will be adding a couple new designs to the store soon!

As most of you know, Adoption Mama donates monthly to Love Without Boundaries (www.lovewithoutboundaries.com) based on the number of shirts we sell each month. Usually we donate right to the general medical fund. That is why I am always so grateful to you all...our customers...our Mamas....because I know our donations are helping the lives of children left behind. Off to China!/ Get your orders in!!

Just wanted to let you know.... I am going to be traveling to China (by myself!) July 5-20 to some volunteer work in an orphanage. I am very excited for the opportunity to impact the lives of these children in some small way.

For Adoption Mama ordering, I would say you need to have your orders in by July 2 if you would like them shipped before I depart (remember July 4 is a postal holiday.) All orders received after July 3 will most likely ship beginning July 22. I am sorry for this delay to you.... I love shipping same or next day and getting you your new shirts ASAP! But, this is a special exception. Remember every purchase you make helps orphaned children in China through Love Without Boundaries. Although I will be with a different group for my trip, I am still so honored and thrilled to help out in any way.

As the time comes closer, I will post a link to my travel blog, that I will hopefully be able to update regularly from China.

I Met Anchee Min!

I am so happy to say I got to meet Anchee Min last Thursday night! She is the author of many WONDEFUL books about women in China (historical fiction...just remarkable experiences...amazing!). For me, it was the equivalent of a teenager meeting some "it" tabloid celebrity or music star of the moment. I couldn't believe I was actually there, listening to her read her book to me (OK, well not just me, but it felt like it!). She was in Washington, D. C. on a tour for her newest book "The Last Empress", a sequel to "Empress Orchid" (my favorite book ever). I started reading her books to learn more about the role and condition of women throughout Chinese history. I have been so moved by them. These two books about the Empress TzuHsi have greatly inspired my trip back to China this summer. I can't wait to be back at the Forbidden City and Summer Palace with these "new eyes". I will be forever grateful to Anchee Min for her writing, her strength, and her truth. I am so glad my daughter got to go with me and have her picture taken with Ms. Min. "Empress Orchid" is dedicated to the adopted daughters from China. When I asked Ms. Min why, she said because they are the strength and power, but were for so long considered nothing. She seems to have a heart for our girls. What a happy night for me!

Spring has Sprung at Adoption Mama!

Hello Mamas! The new designs are here...well most of them! I still have a few surprises to come. Check out the site to some fun new designs. Late December Update...

Hello Mamas! And Daddies! Thanks for making December extra fun. Some of you will be getting Adoption Mama goodies under your tree! Ssshhhh...I can't tell!

As 2006 comes to an end, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the new ADOPTION MAMAs out there who have made our first year such a success. The best part for me, for sure, has been "meeting" all of you and hearing your adoption stories. There are a lot of great families out there. Please continue to send me your news, updates, and feedback.

Watch out for lots of fun in 2007. We'll have some new designs, including some mother/daughter fun...I promise! Maybe a sale too...
